I worked closely with Lo Cleary to design the soundscape and folie for their animated short, visualising their experience with fibromyalgia and chronic conditions

The surface layer of noise is primarily sampled. Sounds like running water or a distant radio ground the environment as something being intereacted with. For the monster x figure interaction, samples are from thematically relevent sources such as "healing" singing bowls, plants in pain, the tearing of meat and the cracking of trees.

A 6s tape loop recording echos behind the folie playing into the cyclical structure to the animation and routine experience of being a body living with chronic pain. It is overtaken when returning to bed with a hum from both of us, closing the project and deciding to rest.
