NOISE GULF

*this project was centered around discovering a non site and communicating earnestly through shared resources, transcriptions and feedback loops.

aimed to be repeatable- we set up conditions to work through (see flow chart)

we set up in separate locations and at the same time agreed to make noise across a pre agreed duration of time

we would create field notes which would be shared between us. This would then inform the next round and it continues building onto itself until you collectively decide to break the loop and stop.


only after you have finished do you listen back to the tracks simultaneously - witnessing the noise gulf.

after making the gulf, we did a live exchange through two tape-loop set ups noise making informing illustrations informing the noise - this was the first idea and it felt correct to end on it. Working in reverse - closing the loop.
